“A vicious killer stalks the streets of Hong Kong, methodically executing top martial arts competitors. Xia (Donnie Yen), a convicted killer and kung fu expert, offers to help police find the killer and put him behind bars. In return for his own freedom. The killer eludes them again and again, taunting the cops – and Xia, his new target – to discover his next moves. Xia refuses to play his lethal game…until the killer threatens the woman he loves most.”
If you’re a fan of Donnie Yen, and any of his other action movies…you’re probably going to like this one as well. The story basically revolves around a guy who put in jail for killing someone. While he’s in jail, he hears about a man going around uniquely killing other martial artists. He offers to help the police track this murderer down, and help capture him, in return for his freedom. There’s honestly not much to say about this movie other than it’s a typical Donnie Yen movie. I’m not saying it’s bad by any means, I’m just saying that it’s not something that haven’t already seen before. The acting is pretty good, and so are the action scenes. I just wish that we would see less wire action, and more physical action like we used to see all of the time in the good ol’ days. Though, whatever scenes that were choreographed, were done very well. No problems at all regarding the Picture and Audio Quality, it all looked and sounded great. Overall, I had a good time with is, and found it fun to watch. Like I said in the beginning of this review, if you’re a fan of most Donnie Yen films, you’re most likely going to be a fan of this one.
