Synopsis:

“Ben Stiller and Naomi Watts shine in this fresh and insightful comedy from director Noam Baumbach (The Squid and the Whale). After middle-aged filmmaker Josh (Stiller) and his wife Cornelia (Watts) meet a free-spirited twenty-something couple (Adam Driver and Amanda Seyfried), they adopt a new lifestyle complete with hip-hop dance classes and mind-expanding parties. But with each hilarious attempt to act young, Josh and Cornelia start to appreciate the rewards of growing old together.”

My Review:

This movie mainly revolves around Josh (The lead role – Played by Ben Stiller) and his wife Cornelia (Played by Naomi Watts). They’re both getting older, while watching their friends and family go along with the times. With their best friends just having a baby, this leads them to wonder what they plan on doing with the rest of their lives. Throughout the movie, they meet a younger couple (Played by Adam Driver, and Amanda Seyfriend) who are just full of life, and seem to not have a care in the world. Ultimately this makes Josh & Cornelia question their whole lives. I found this movie to have lots of emotions. It was funny at times, as well as sad. It definitely makes you think about your life, and the things that you have already done, and yet to do. Each of the actors played their parts very well, showing the different age groups between the two. I feel like this movie is an adult coming of age story in a sense. Once again, Ben Stiller proves that he’s a fantastic actor. The Picture and Audio quality were fantastic, and really drew me into the movie. I haven’t heard too much buzz about this movie, which is strange because it’s definitely a good watch. I recommend giving this one a watch.
